Northbound WIldwood Weight-in-Motion Administration Building


Design Build project completed for the Florida Department of Transportation.  This project included design, permitting, maintenance of traffic, demolition of the existing structure, construction of a new 1,400 S.F. Administration Building, and associated sitework.  The new 1,400 S.F. Administration Building will be U.S.G.B.C. LEED Certified. The following features were incorporated into this design to help meet this goal: insulated building envelope to reduce energy consumption, high efficiency HVAC system, energy efficient lighting design with individual controls, high efficiency plumbing fixtures, and use of recycled materials. 

The building structure was designed as a category 4 structure capable of withstanding up to 140 MPH winds.  Additional features incorporated into this design are level 3 ballistic resistant glazing, closed circuit TV monitoring, and an access control system.
